This course focuses upon the identification, evaluation, pricing, and management of risk. An integrated approach to risk management is presented which combines concepts, tools, and techniques taken from economics, finance, and decision sciences. Besides examining "traditional" risk transfer and hedging strategies, techniques such as leveraging, post-loss financing, contingent financing, diversification, and choice of organizational design are also considered.
